FUNDRAISING - WORK A LOCAL EVENT!
When my girls were young I remember when the annual IU 10 Elementary Reading Team competition took place at a host school. Hundreds of students from three counties took part, with hundreds of parents and others watching from the sidelines.
Many of those folks needed a tasty lunch, so the school yearbook staff manned a busy lunch table to keep everyone fed. The advisers and several students worked hard to get all items donated, and in just an hour they raised around $440 in profit!! And the food was great!
In State College, organizations can sometimes man stands at both the Penn State football games at Beaver Stadium and the State College Spikes baseball games next door. Perhaps you have a sports team or a college near you that would allow your group to work games or events (serve food, clean up, etc.) to earn some extra funds.
Virtually everywhere there are events where your yearbook staff could handle some chore to make some extra money. What's available for you?
