FUNDRAISING - KRISPY KREME DONUTS

Looking to find more funding to make an even better yearbook? One of my favorite fundraisers are the famous Krispy Kreme donuts. Forget the low-carb craze, everyone loves munching a Krispy Kreme donut. This is a great fundraiser because, from a $7 dozen of Krispy Kremes, your yearbook effort gets $3.50 or more. A 50 percent profit margin is one of the best I've seen from any fundraiser. One idea: get your whole school involved by offering a half-paid or fully-paid yearbook for selling a certain amount of donuts. Check out Krispy Kreme on the Internet at www.krispykreme.com. Perhaps your school is one of these that no longer allows doughnut or candy sales because of the new "wellness" nutrition rules. If that's you, approach your school's wellness or nutrition coordinator and explain that many people, especially adults, have always enjoyed doughnuts and that the Krispy Kreme fundraiser is a lucrative one that could really help your financial effort. Perhaps make some kind of stipulation that no doughnuts will be consumed in school, or arrange for distribution of the doughnuts after school or during the evening.
