FUNDRAISING - FAST FOOD COUPONS & SNACKS

I must admit it: I'm a bit of a junk food junkie. As I'm busy traveling between schools during the week I often hit a fast food drive-thru for lunch, and sometimes dinner on a long day.

In the past my friends at West Branch High in Clearfield County sold custom gift certificates from their local McDonald's franchises as a fundraiser. From each $1.00 certificate, the yearbook staff made 50 cents, not a bad deal. I immediately purchased $10 worth of certificates, which were gone in days.

Check with all of your local fast food restaurants to see if they have a similar offer. If they don't, they might be interested in starting their own fundraiser with you. Maybe give them a free ad in your book!

Another snack idea is Zap-a-Snack. Headquartered near Erie, this company offers a great selections of foods from pizza to yummy soft pretzels, cookies to cinnamon rolls to cheesecakes. They even offer low-carb pizzas and cheesecakes - I'm in heaven!!!

Please check out their website at www.zapasnack.com. There is plenty of information available, and you can contact a local sales representative through the site. Check it out!

For some tasty fun check out Mr. Lollipop, perhaps a corny name but a tasty fundraiser for you.

Think about it: most kids carry some cash every day, and most kids enjoy a yummy lollipop, especially those with specialty flavors. Mr. Lollipop offers some GREAT gourmet flavors for sale at only 50 cents each. The cost for the lollipops is about half that so the profit margin is good. Sell 100 lollipops a week, make around $25 profit, which translates to around $100 per month, all from some easy sales. And they have other terrific items as well.
